The Coronet is a lockable jewellery box that opens the way a toolmaker's case opens. Raise the lid and twin tiers of trays rise and swing out to either side, so a collection is presented in full rather than dug through layer by layer. A mirror is set into the lid, which makes the case a dressing station as well as storage.

It is made for the collector who travels with the collection. At 34 x 18 x 24 cm it carries by its stitched leather handle, locks with a key, and holds rings, watches, earrings and chains in separate fuchsia velvet compartments so nothing meets anything else in transit. Every tray lifts out, so the interior can be rearranged around what is actually owned.

Frosted silver copper wire is drawn over a solid timber frame, bound in ivory leather and finished with silver-tone corner caps and hand-set studs. It is a travel jewellery case built to the standard of luggage — small enough for a dressing table, made for a lifetime of being picked up.

The cantilever tiers are hinged to rise together as the lid opens, each tray lined in fuchsia velvet and cut to hold rather than to hold loosely.
