The Monarch is a standing jewellery cabinet built on the wardrobe-trunk pattern. Two doors open the full 164 cm of the case onto velvet-lined drawers, divided trays and a top compartment, so an entire collection is read at a glance instead of excavated drawer by drawer.

It is made for the collection that has outgrown every box in the room — and for the routine that goes with it. Drawers are graded in depth: shallow trays for rings and earrings, deeper compartments for skincare and cosmetics, the top section for what is reached for daily. Integrated lighting runs inside the case and dims with one touch, so it works as task light while getting ready and as ambient light once the doors are open.

Ivory copper wire is drawn over a solid timber frame, bound at every edge and finished with hand-stitched leather pulls and brass-tone corners. Concealed castors sit within the base, so a cabinet at 50 x 50 cm in footprint can be repositioned by one person without lifting. It is a jewellery armoire made to the standard of luggage, not of furniture.

The case is drawn in ivory copper wire over a solid timber frame, capped and latched in brass-tone hardware the way a wardrobe trunk has always been. Inside, every drawer is lined in amethyst velvet and cut to a different depth, and the lighting is built into the case rather than clipped on. The castors are concealed within the base, so the piece reads as standing furniture and moves like luggage. It is made to be kept, and to pass on as an heirloom.
