The Colette is a chest of drawers for the space a dresser will not fit. Six drawers rise in a case narrow enough for a hallway or the wall beside a wardrobe, and the lift-top lid opens onto a mirror and a shallow tray — the last check before leaving a room.

It is made for the collector whose jewellery has outgrown a box but who has no wall left for a full jewelry cabinet. A biometric fingerprint lock secures the case — it opens to a registered fingerprint and to no one else, which is what makes it a lockable jewellery chest rather than a chest that happens to hold jewellery. Every drawer is lined, so chains sit without tangling and stones sit without scratching. The case is finished on all four sides, which means it can stand free at the end of an island or a bed.

Cognac copper wire is drawn over a solid timber frame, bound in leather and capped in brass-tone corners, with leather ring pulls set by hand. Metal feet lift it clear of the floor and keep the line light. It is a jewellery chest of drawers built to the standard of a travelling trunk.
